Similarly to last week, we checked in with members about the upcoming CEOAS Farmers Market (May 12, 9-1pm) and the Memorial Day camping trip (May 26-28). Make sure to sign up for the camping trip if you want to come, ALL members and friends who want to attend must fill out the form (OSU Policy, sorry!).
Updates on the Green Office Certification. Here's a blurb that Alec put together to explain our goals with this: “The Certification utilizes an online Qualtrics survey to assess existing office practices in areas like energy, water, waste management, purchasing, transportation and outreach. The Green Office Certification is a simple yet effective way for OSU faculty and staff to further their sustainability efforts and get recognition for their work. It is also intended to provide new ideas for easy steps your office can take to reduce your environmental footprint and carbon emissions.” - OSU Sustainability Office Our goal as the Environmental Science Club is to complete the online survey for CEOAS to see where our college stands on sustainability. We will utilize our common knowledge of the college, along with its staff to complete the survey to the best of our abilities. We want to complete this survey as best as possible to get a good representation of how sustainable CEOAS really is. We've separated in to teams of 2 to tackle each section of the survey, make a dent!
