Composting
Taking the first 15 minutes of every minute to dump the compost bins in the CEOS buildings have been great! We are thinking of taking forward action of allowing people to sign up for compost bins so they can participate. If you have any suggestions on how the club can start this project, bring it up at the meeting! START Leader Presentation Two representatives from the START program are looking for some diversity of majors to be START leaders. There was a poll that was sent out to figure out where the club should go hiking and when we should go. Look out for further details about the trip! Our second goal was to have at least 3 Global Issue Discussions so if you would like to do one this term let us know! Our third goal is to do 2-3 service projects this term. There were a lot of ideas at the meeting but we are still looking for new ideas. MLK Jr. Day of Service Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service was heal on Saturday January 13 and there was many projects club members could sign up for. It is an amazing project that would be exciting for the club to participate in. If you missed the meeting or would like to learn more, talk to Coral at the next meeting! Lobby Day in Salem There is a workshop in Salem to teach students how to lobby about clean energy jobs and carbon foot printing. There is transportation provided and would be a great way to make a difference in our community and state.
